About
Impassioned, soulful singer and songwriter Jenny Langer has shared the stage and released recordings with such musical greats as Buddy Guy, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks and Jack Pearson of Allman Brothers fame; Susan Tedeschi of Tedeschi Trucks Band; Gov't Mule, Dave Koz, Sheila E, Charlie Musselwhite, Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones),
Marcus King, The Righteous Brothers, The Nighthawks, Ron Holloway, Malford Milligan, Jason Ricci, Jimmy Vivino, and many more.
Part vamp and part glamour girl, she is all-commanding in her on-stage deliveries with searing hot vocals. To quote from her sizzling seductive rendition of “Fever” -what a lovely way to burn.
Langer lives in Nashville by way of Washington, DC, grew up in the California Bay Area, and is often mistaken as a native of New Orleans. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, she co-founded the award-winning blues band Moonshine Society, touring the world bringing American roots music to intrigued audiences.
In 2012, Jenny was inducted into the NYC based Blues Hall of Fame® for her work with blues harpist Charlie Sayles. With Moonshine Society, she won two Wammies (Best Blues Album, Best Blues Band), the International Blues Challenge (IBC- Best Self-Produced Album), hit #2 on the UK Blues Charts (IBBA), and multiple weeks at #1 on Blues Rock Album Radio Charts (2019).
She has been a member of The Ron Holloway Band since 2014, and in the midst of the 2020 pandemic, formed The Honey Larks- an all female roots trio- with her two best friends.
Fast forward to 2022, when she met producer John Wooler (Point Blank/Virgin), who connected her with celebrity guitarist Randy Jacobs. A two day recording project quickly turned into an invitation to join The Boneshakers, ushering in a new era for the band as it celebrated 25 years since their first release.
The Boneshakers album One Foot In The Groove hit #1 on UK Blues radio charts, #1 on US Soul Blues radio charts, and won two Wammies in 2023.
